How fees work

• Our commission is 6.5% of the order value (your items plus the delivery you charge).
• Payment processing is charged by Stripe and depends on where the customer's card was issued, not on where you are:
  • UK cards — 1.5% + 20p
  • UK business, corporate and rewards cards — 1.9% + 20p
  • European cards — 2.5% + 20p
  • Cards from the rest of the world (including the USA) — 3.25% + 20p
• Klarna, if you offer it, lets customers spread the cost — which can win orders that would otherwise not happen. Its fee replaces the card fee on those orders and is set by the customer's country, not by where you are:
  • Customers in Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the Nordic countries — 2.99% + 35p
  • Customers in the UK, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain and most of the rest of Europe — 4.99% + 35p
  • Klarna is offered to customers in the UK paying in pounds, and to customers in the eurozone paying in euros if you also accept foreign-currency orders. It is not currently available to customers in the USA or Canada. Where you are based makes no difference — a partner anywhere can offer Klarna to UK and European customers.
• If your Stripe account is held in a currency other than pounds (for example euros or US dollars), we still pay you in pounds and Stripe converts it when it arrives, charging around 2%. This applies to every order you receive, including orders from UK customers.
• We add nothing for paying an account outside the UK, and moving money from your Stripe balance to your bank costs you nothing further.
• UK partners are charged VAT on these fees. Businesses elsewhere in the EU account for it themselves under the reverse charge, and outside the EU it falls outside UK VAT.
• Every order screen shows exactly what was deducted, what we transferred, and — if your account is in another currency — the rate Stripe converted at.
